Sarkodie Says: Ghana’s Royalty System, a Big Issue with a Simple Fix

Rap icon Sarkodie has shed light on the challenges within Ghana’s music royalty system, emphasizing a straightforward solution.
This revelation unfolded in a panel discussion at the 3i Africa Summit Partners and Stakeholders Mixer in Accra on March 7, 2024.

Sarkodie emphasized the urgency of the problem during the discussion, stating, “The royalty system has been a big issue here in Ghana but it’s something so little to do, it’s not that hard it’s just putting the system in place and just getting the money back”

The panel, which featured influential figures such as KOD, Chief Moomen, and filmmaker Juliet Asante, focused on the convergence of the Creative Industry, Policy, and Fintech.
