Nigerian singer Omah Lay found himself reevaluating his assumptions about Davido’s feelings towards him.
In a recent video, Davido was spotted driving around Lagos with American content creator Kai Cenat. During the ride, Davido played Omah Lay’s song, and when he called Kai’s attention to one track, Kai humorously remarked, “Mr. Take Your Bitch.” This comment stemmed from a previous incident where Omah Lay danced intimately with a fan, Jess on stage, sparking controversy.
In a candid social media post the day after Davido and Kai’s video, Omah Lay revealed he had always believed Davido disliked him.Davido’s recent public endorsement is the first instance where he has visibly supported Omah Lay’s music. Despite Omah Lay being recognized as one of Nigeria’s emerging talents, he had previously sensed a lack of interest from the DMW boss.
