While Ghanaians speculate on the reason behind Afua Asantewaa’s disqualification, media personality Afia Pokuaa shares her perspective.
According to her, Asantewaa’s unsuccessful singing marathon is linked to the impatience of other contenders attempting Guinness World Records without waiting for her results.
In a Facebook post, Pokuaa acknowledges Asantewaa’s dedicated effort and the reputation she has built, stating, “Our copy copy is what has caused this. We did not even allow Asantewaa’s process to conclude, and we were all over copying. Afua, you did your best. The brand you have attained alone is enough.”
Guinness World Records confirmed Afua’s disqualification on the X app, formerly known as Twitter, in response to an inquiry about the outcome of her singing marathon.
