Speak the truth surrounding my exit from your BMG label – OV dares Stonebwoy

Ghanaian songstress Okailey Verse, popularly known as OV has called out her former label boss, Livingstone Setakla, better known as Stonebwoy to answer to certain allegations about her exit from the label, Burniton Music Group.

In 2019, OV was the winner of a music reality TV show, MTN Hitmaker and her stagecraft and performances got her signed to the BMG right after she was crowned winner. Upon signing, she released her hit song ‘Want Me’ which featured the reggae/dancehall singer Stonebwoy but their partnership didn’t go a long way.

News broke out mid 2019 that OV and her label mate, Kelvyn Boy had been expelled from the record label, including Black Sidi, the then manager for Stonebwoy was also relieved of his duties.

The news brought about so many speculations that many didn’t expect this sudden turn of events and what transpired still hasn’t been disclosed by the two parties.

Speaking in a recent interview with Kwaku Manu on his ‘Aggressive Show’, OV disclosed that his former boss Stonebwoy knows the actual reasons why they parted ways with the label and that she does not want to open up much about it.

“I dare you, presenters, to put it to him on why we left the label and push him to say the truth”, she stated.

However, OV debunked rumors that she’s into hard drugs as she affirmed that she’s only in love with wine and does not even smoke.
