Dancehall act Shatta Wale has said that his colleague, Stonebwoy deserves to be winning trophies at the International Reggae and World Awards (IRAWMA) and not the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
In an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on UTV’s United Showbiz show, monitored by KwasiAboagyeLive.com, Shatta Wale said BET is meant for R&B singers and rappers, so he sees no problem with it if someone like Sarkodie wins it.
He said he considers IRAWMA, which is organized in Jamaica, more prestigious than BET because it is for dancehall artistes like himself and Stonebwoy.
