Video: Two Police officers ‘arrest’ lady after she refused to let them search her bag

Brave Ghanaian lady has shared a video of herself and two police officers who were demanding to look through her bag.

The young woman was arrested by some officers of the Ghana Police Service in Accra after she challenged for her rights and refused them to search her bag.

A video of a noisy argument between the police and the young woman shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Sikaofficial showed her making a stand that the police had no right to search her bag.

The two police officers stopped the ride-hailing vehicle. The lady thought the officers were even coming to check the driver but the officers requested to check the lady’s bag. She asked them why they wanted to search her bag, and whether she turned down their request.

She indicated that the policeman told her that they wanted to search her bag because she looked suspicious.

One of the officers reportedly allowed her to record the situation, while another was allegedly aggressive and threatened to handcuff her and send her to the police station if she didn’t consent to the bag search, but the lady still resisted the search.

The officers sat in the car and headed for the Grede Estate Police Station in Teshie, a suburb of Accra.
