American model, known as ‘Gorgeous Doll,’ has addressed the controversy surrounding the viral video and photos involving Davido.
After she shared a mirror photo on social media featuring her and the Nigerian singer in an intimate pose, it garnered attention and speculation about their relationship. Subsequently, a video emerged showing Davido in a vulnerable state, dressed in a two-piece outfit featuring strawberry imagery, as he knelt down, seemingly begging. This video further fueled the controversy.
Taking to social media, the model addressed the controversy in a 10-minute video. While admitting to mistakenly sharing the photo while intoxicated, she clarified that the video was initially shared by her with her girl group of three. She felt Davido was overly dramatic in the video, kneeling down and crying, which the group found amusing. However, during the backlash, her friend Bonita shared it to the wider public without her consent. She stressed that none of her friends had ever met or knew Davido. Despite this, she refused to disclose the circumstances surrounding the video or why Davido had sent it to her.
She shared that her friendship with Davido spanned 4 to 5 years, yet she had never inquired about his marital status, despite being aware of his children with other partners.
Emphasizing their platonic bond, she expressed, “He’s comfortable around me being in videos because we know the friendship we have and there’s nothing to hide.”
“Me and David are just friends and I style him time to time along with assisting with local bookings in the USA. That’s it, that’s all. We have a mutual respect for each other,” she added.
Additionally, she apologized on behalf of her friend for derogatory remarks and urged an end to misinformation.
