GHPL Wk 22: Hearts lead though held by AshGold; Kotoko beaten

Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak continue to lead the Ghana Premier League though held at home by champions Ashanti Gold SC on Wednesday.

Robin Gnagne put the Phobians ahead from the spot but the champions came back strongly to clinch a point.

The draw at least drifts the Miners further off the relegation zone while it keeps Hearts at the top.

League contenders Wa All Stars failed to win at Inter Allies as the Tema-based side beat them 2-0.

Former champions Asante Kotoko’s woes continued after they slumped to a 1-2 loss at New Edubiase.

There were plenty goals in midweek, however, with Dreams FC and Liberty Professionals becoming the biggest winners over Berekum Chelsea and Sekondi Hasaacas respectively. They won 4-0.
