Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo recounted a moment in his life that had left him disheartened – an encounter with Delay that involved a rejected sponsorship proposal.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, the actor revealed that he had approached Delay with the intention of securing support for his team, hoping that she would endorse his venture.
Specifically, he sought sponsorship for 10 boxes of spaghetti each month. However, his aspirations were dashed when Delay informed him that she could not fulfill his request.
According to Yaw Dabo, Delay clarified that she sponsored two shows on TV3, which were Nana Ama McBrown’s Kitchen program and another unnamed program. She justified her decision by stating that they were not generating enough profit from the particular product, making it financially unviable for her to extend sponsorship to Yaw Dabo.
The actor articulated the emotional toll of such a rejection, emphasizing the pain of sacrificing for others, only to be let down when seeking reciprocation.
