Grammy award-winning Nigerian afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, famously known as Wizkid has taken to social media to share a touching revelation, expressing that the loss of his beloved mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun has left a deep void in his life.
The “Essence” hitmaker on his Instagram story disclosed that he hasn’t been able to regain his life to its normal since his mother’s passing.
In a reflective tone, Wizkid disclosed that his new song ‘IDK’ was created in the aftermath of his mother’s death, highlighting the profound impact it had on him.
Despite his success and having four kids, he candidly admitted that life feels meaningless without his mother’s presence.
“Made idk days after i lost my mum. life’s been meaningless! But we dey!” he write.
In another post, Wizkid emphasized the importance of letting go and surrendering to a higher power, suggesting a spiritual journey to find solace in the face of profound loss.”
