Pentecost Theological Seminary (PTS), in collaboration with the Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC), Kasoa has stormed the Kasoa-Bawjiase Road with a three-day gospel crusade, dubbed ‘Jesus for All Gospel Music Extravaganza’.
Through the power of God, the crusade produced spectacular results: 91 souls were won, and 29 re-dedicated their lives to Christ.
The 3-day event, under the theme: ‘For God so loved the world’, was held from June 16-18, 2016 at the popularly known ‘European Town Point-4’ (opposite the ECOBANK, Kasoa Branch) each night.
Quoting from John 3:16, the resident pastor of the PIWC, Kasoa who also doubles as chaplain at the PTS, Gomoa Fetteh, Rev. Emmanuel Oppong Donkor, said contrary to the notion that the family of God is the reserve of a particular group of sanctimonious people, Jesus Christ (the son of God) rather came for all – whosoever believes.
“Jesus Christ came to save anybody who would believe in him as Lord and Saviour, including those who for one reason or another think they cannot come to church: drunkards, the brethren in dreadlocks (Rastafarians), those considered to be practising ‘the oldest profession'(prostitutes) and the like”, he stated.
To authenticate the purpose of the crusade, as mentioned above, a group of six(6) Rastafarians, based in Kokrobite, a suburb of Accra, graced the programme with a ministration of Gospel-Reggae Music entitled, “Hallelujah! Come to Jesus and He will save you”.
Other gospel artistes who featured at the occasion included Akesse Brempong, Jeshurun Okyere, Bra Kwaku, Qwesi Boate, Samuel Adu-Gyamfi, Felicia Danso, Elder George, Kofi Pepprah, as well as the host choirs: Altar of Praise (PIWC-Kasoa), and the ‘all male’ PTS Mass Choir.
Also in attendance were the Church of Pentecost, Kasoa Area Head and wife, Aps. Samuel and Mrs. Mary Antwi.
Meanwhile, the crusade was not bereft of challenges. However, the hand of God was evident by the fact that, there were rain showers each night of the crusade in most parts of Kasoa, but the crusade ground was not affected.
The crusade was climaxed with Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship Joint Service at the PIWC, Kasoa auditorium, which was attended by Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Anim, the Principal of the Pentecost Theological Seminary, as well as Aps. Samuel Antwi, Kasoa Area Head.
