The Ghana Nursing and Midwifery Council has disassociated itself from a video in which someone wearing a nurse’s uniform is twerking.
The video, which has been trending on social media has got many people talking about the conduct of the supposed nurse who dances in a very suggestive manner.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Council said its attention had been drawn to the video and condemned the action.
The Council said it does not know the identity of the nurse stating that it places great importance on issues of professional conduct for Nurses and Midwives.
The Council further reminded all practitioners that they should uphold the reputation of the profession and make sure practitioners’ behavior at all times brings credit to the profession as stated in section 7 of the code of Professional Conduct for Nurses.
