President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asserted that his administration’s achievements in road infrastructure and the transportation network are unparalleled. He highlighted the construction of interchanges, bridges, and the rehabilitation of railway lines as areas where no previous government has matched his administration’s efforts.

During his 2023 State of the Nation address, President Akufo-Addo highlighted that a substantial portion of borrowed funds had been allocated to road construction. He expressed pride in the extensive road work accomplished under his administration, noting that road projects are frequently queried by Parliament members. Emphasizing that his government has built more roads than any other in the 4th Republic, he included detailed records in an annex to address previous skepticism from the Minority benches.
