Media personality and talent manager, Sammy Flex, revealed that despite Shatta Wale’s previous stint with Zylofon not working out, the artist remains open to exploring opportunities with other record labels.
Sammy Flex shared that they are currently in discussions with a label that is under consideration.
Speaking with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM Showbiz A to Z, Sammy Flex highlighted that Shatta Wale has received numerous offers from record labels. However, he emphasized that Shatta Wale, being a savvy businessman, is taking his time to evaluate and make the best decision. Sammy Flex stated, “Yeah yeah. He’s a businessman. The conversation is what he wants to hear. He’s willing and ready anytime.”
Acknowledging the challenges faced by young talents who sign deals impulsively, Sammy Flex added, “Where Shatta has gotten to in his career, he takes his decisions. He knows what he’s looking for because we also know that there are some young talents here in Ghana who have signed some deals and they’re dying out of it.”
He further expressed the need to address this topic, stating, “It is one topic that one day, we need to discuss. Follow their tweets; they’re going through hell in these signings. So, I think that to any musician who’s looking for money with their records, any time there’s a deal that sounds sweet in their ears, trust me they’ll ink to it.”
This underscores the careful consideration and challenges associated with record label deals in the music industry.
