Up and coming artistes are not willing to serve – Kofi Kinaata

Hiplife musician, Kofi Kinaata has said that he won’t sign any up and coming artistes onto his record label because they are not willing to serve like he did when he started his music journey at High Grade Family.

According to him, looking at recent happenings including what happened with a record label when they signed up and coming artistes, he is not motivated to manage any artiste.

Kofi Kinaata disclosed this in an interview with TV3’s New Day on Friday, May 8, monitored by KwasiAboagyeLive.com.

He said, “With what I see around, I’m not encouraged to sign any artiste because if you do, Ghanaians will say you are sitting on his shine, or you want to tap into their fan base.”

The “Things Fall Apart” singer added that most up and coming artistes are not willing and ready to serve under a record label, recounting how he served Samini and the management of High Grade Family during his days with the label.

To wrap it up, the Team Move fan base leader noted that when upcoming artistes are signed onto a record label, Ghanaians pump a whole lot of ideas in their heads making them think they should be given a car and house instead of walking and renting.
