The head pastor of International God’s way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim, will hold a press conference on Friday over reports that he has been arrested by the police.
Reports say the man of God has been hospitalized after police tried to arrest him at his church for questioning in a case he is allegedly complicit.
The reports also say Bishop Obinim, who calls himself an angel was conducting a counseling session at his church when the police stormed there to pick him up.
He then excused himself to go to his office for a moment and suddenly fell sick after returning and couldn’t walk so he was rushed to a hospital at East Legon for medical attention.
In a new development, Adom TV reporter, Daakyehene was at Obinim’s residence in Adjringanor on Friday morning but the reporter was told that the arrest report about the pastor was false.
According to a junior pastor at Obinim’s church, Pastor Adu, the man of God has neither been arrested nor hospitalized.
“We were told by his junior pastor that Bishop Obinim is sleeping in his home and has not been arrested. He even asked us to take our cameras into his home but he later told us that his lawyers have asked them not to speak,” Daakyehene said.
Daakyehene claims he did not see Obinim but his junior pastor told him Bishop Obinim will organize a press conference and address the issues himself.
