Davido set to perform at 50th PFA Awards tonight

The 50th Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards will feature a historic performance by Nigerian music icon Davido.

This marks the first time an Afrobeats artist will perform at the event. With his smash hit songs and captivating stage presence, Davido is sure to add an exciting musical element to the already significant occasion.

The Professional Footballers’ Association Awards take place tonight, August 29, at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester.

Mohamed Salah and Sam Kerr won last year’s awards. However, Liverpool wideman Salah has not been nominated this year after Manchester City dominated the 2022/23 season.

The event added significance as it celebrates half a century of honoring football excellence. While spotlighting standout players across divisions, the night’s highlight will be the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year awards.

Davido’s inclusion has sparked enthusiasm across Africa, especially Nigeria, where fans eagerly anticipate this historic fusion of football and music. As anticipation builds, Davido’s performance promises to create an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
