Female rappers jabbing each other is ‘women empowerment’ – Wendy Shay

Singer Wendy Shay seems to be enjoying the ongoing beef between the female rappers and has called it women empowerment.

According to the Rufftown Records artiste, women jabbing each other in a male dominated music industry is a sign that they are fighting for their place in the industry.

In a post on Twitter, the Astalavista hitmaker wrote: “U call it beef, I call it women empowerment..all I see is women showcasing their talent ..female artists are gradually waking up”.

Wendy Shay feels women in the music industry are gradually waking up to showcase their talent through beefing.

Over the years, Ghana’s music industry has seen some ‘beefs’ between both male and female musicians with notable ones being the Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale, Sarkodie-Shatta Wale, M.anifest-Sarkodie and Strongman-Medikal beefs.

Now the female artistes have taken over with Sista Afia, Eno and Freda Rhymes engaging in a lyrical battle.
