American rapper A$AP Rocky, known for his relationship with singer Rihanna, recently shared his philosophy on relationships.
While he acknowledged the importance of thoughtful gifts for girlfriends, he criticized the practice among some rappers of showering women with expensive items and cash.
During an interview with Angie Martinez, he boasted about his approach, stating, “I can honestly say that I haven’t spent a bag [money] on a b*tch in my life. I am handsome. That’s enough.”
He clarified, “Honestly, gifts for your girlfriends are different. I’m talking about bags on… Do you realize that rappers will hit a chick on Instagram, fly her out, give her 15 racks, have sex with her, take her shopping, then send her home? I’ve never done that.”
In 2021, A$AP Rocky publicly acknowledged his relationship with Rihanna. On May 19, 2022, the couple celebrated the birth of their first child, a son named RZA. Then, in August 2023, they joyfully welcomed their second son, named Riot Ross.
