Somanya Police arrest two car snatchers

The Police in Somanya in the Eastern Region have arrested two persons, including a Nigerian, who snatched two cars from their owners.

The two, 32-year-old Nigerian, Jonathan Asibu and 31-year-old auto sprayer, Eric Okra, are to be handed over to the Atomic Police in Accra where the two were case was reported to.

The two cars, Toyota Corolla with registration GS 8037-13 and Toyota Camry registered GS 5127-15 were snatched from their owners within the jurisdiction of Somanya.

A report was made to the Atomic Police who alerted their counterparts in Somanya.

Upon a tip off, the Somanya District Police Commander, ASP Isaac Otsin, the led a team of police officers to swoop in on the two arrested them. They are currently in Police cells.
